My Biography

1990

Hello everyone, I am very pleased to introduce myself.  I am a professional Technical Writer, Graphic Designer, English/Russian Translator/Interpreter, as well as a teacher of English as a second language.

I was born in Moscow, Russia to my father Sergey and Mother Ludmila, both top-notch translators and interpreters.  From a young age they invested their time and energy into me, tutoring me with English as a second language, humanities, literature and languages.  I am very much obliged to them for my level of expertise today.

They instilled in me my core sense of values, especially in understanding the value of a good education.  Throughout English biased grade school and university I was consistently at the top of my class.  I graduated in 1998 with Honors from the Institute of Foreign Languages in Moscow, majors being English, Psycholinguistics, Psychology, Translation among others. See my Resume for more details on my credentials.  I also spent some time in Great Britain and earned my Certificate of the English Language from Cambridge University.

Following in my parents' footsteps, I went into the field of Foreign Language Instruction and Interpretation.  Throughout my career I have dedicated myself to excellence and customer satisfaction.

2000

In 2000 I married a US citizen and moved to Seattle, WA.  Having lived in the USA since then, I have grown accustomed to and familiar with American culture.  The knowledge of both Russian and American societies has given me valuable experience when dealing with customers from both countries who wish to communicate with each other.  Not only does this help me with translation and instruction, but also as a consultant on the idiosyncrasies and cultural differences between the two countries.

2013

From 2013 to this current time I have been acquiring lots of useful skills and experience working as a Technical and Creative Writer as well as a Land Support professional for the IT Company called 'Enertia Software'. It's specializing in accounting and production software for big companies in upstream Oil&Gas industry.

I create/update new documentation in both Share Point and internal Member's site, maintain User Conference Share Point site, implement WebAdmin/Quality Control duties, work as a Graphic Designer creating general and production Oil&Gas icons/logos that are used in the UI. I have also joined the Land group where I learn how to process land incidents as well as mapping and security topics.
